Dr Metwally replaced my left knee in August 2017. Having been a nurse for many years and having multiple other surgeries, I felt Dr Metwally demonstrated compassion, respect, and unparalleled skill in performing my robot total joint replacement. His encouragement and empathy were instrumental in my recovery. Within 6 weeks of my surgery I was able to go camping and play with my grandchildren. Prior to my surgery this would have never been possible. I found his office staff to be professional and courteous. They returned my calls in a timely manner, and often I was able to speak to a nurse right away. I already have plans to replace my other knee within a year. I would highly recommend Dr. Metwally to anyone!
Now I can walk the Oregon beaches again with my daughter. Thanks a bunch Dr Metwally & medical team! I came here from Nevada to have hip surgery with Dr Metwally! I fell 3 years ago and the pain got worse every year till now. Dr Metwally put a new total hip in this April and I was able to walk the day of surgery. I was back in the drivers seat 4 weeks after. Virtually pain free! My daughter worked with him in the Providence hospital, so she knows first hand of his professional work ethics in both the operating room and the office. I have complete and total confidence. I will be most definitely be coming back to him for all my hip & knee surgeries in the future.
My 88 year old Mother had a Total Hip Replacement on 30 May 2017 and has gone from being in constant pain to being pain free. She still requires assistance on steps and getting into and out of cars something I was doing for her as a live in caregiver before the surgery. Her tolerance for physical therapy has improved and I hope she can begin therapy in the Pool shortly. So far, so good. Thanks again Dr. Metwally.

My experiences with Dr Metwally as my physician have been very positive. He has always been very professional in his appearance and actions.
Dr Metwally was always informative. He offered observations and facts in order for me to decide the best option treatment for me.
I am very pleased with the care I have received from Dr Metwally. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking orthopedic care from a highly skilled and knowledgeable physician and surgeon.
Dr. Metwally performed a direct anterior left hip replacement surgery for me. For an important repair like this, I strongly prefer a physician who is specialized and intimately familiar with the procedure. I was impressed with his knowledge, expertise, and his ability to convey the information about the procedure to me. By using the anterior approach, he saved me considerable recuperation time, effort, and pain. He gave me excellent pain control while I was in the hospital, and we were able to quickly taper down when I got home. Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Metwally to friends or anyone.
I recently elected to have a direct anterior hip replacement surgery after researching both the process and orthopedic surgeons from colleagues and friends I elected to have Dr. Metwally perform the replacement. The process was pleasant and with minimal discomfort. My recovery was rapid and successful. My results were spectacular! I am back to skiing, biking, and horseback riding, all of which had become impossible due to joint erosion and arthritis. Dr. Metwally has been to this rodeo before! He is warm and confident, lending a feeling of successful results with the procedure. I have referred two of my own patients, who have had similar results. I would not hesitate to recommend his practice to anyone considering hip replacement. Dr. Dan W.
Dan W. …”Back in the saddle 7 weeks after hip replacement. After 2 1/2 years of not being able to ride.
